Committees

There are four committees of the College of Dietitians of BC.  Each committee must consist of five (5) members appointed by the board.  Each committee must include at least two (2) appointed public representatives, at least one (1) of whom must be an appointed board member, one elected board member and two registrants.

The Inquiry Committee – manages the public risk associated with the practice and conduct of Registered Dietitians.

The Quality Assurance Committee – ensures, in the public’s interest, that Registered Dietitians are safe and competent to practice, and practicing to a high ethical and procedural standard.

The Registration Committee – ensures, in the public’s interest, that Registered Dietitians are qualified to practice.

The Discipline Committee – ensures public safety by conducting hearings on matters referred from the Board or Inquiry Committee.
